Opus 13
Sofja Aginer, soprano

Duration: approx. 30 min.

It is always nice to have a concert at the home of one of our partners. This year we are bringing the up-and-coming award-winning string quartet Opus13 and the young mezzo-soprano Sofja Aigner to PKA in Brattørgata.

17-year-old Sofja Aigner is studying music at Trondheim Cathedral School, sings in Nidaros Cathedral's girls' choir and has been selected for the talent program "Young musicians" Trondheim. Her teacher is Hilde Gjermundsen.

Opus13 is one of Scandinavia's most exciting young string quartets, formed in 2014 at Barratt Due's music institute. The quartet is composed of Sonoko Miriam Welde (violin), Edvard Erdal (violin), Gustav Rørmark (viola) and Daniel Thorell (cello). In 2022 they were awarded 2nd prize in the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition. In addition to concert appearances in France, Sweden and Denmark, they have played at a number of festivals, e.g. Festspillene i Bergen, Vinterfestspill i Bergstaden, the Risør Chamber Music Festival and the Stavanger Chamber Music Festival. The quartet has collaborated with top international musicians and had master classes with some of the world's leading chamber musicians. They are also the founders and artistic directors of Vinterspill in Lillehammer.
