The Sharaka Ensemble is a Norwegian/Palestinian musician- and composer collective. The collective’s musicians have wide experience from a variety of crossover and inter-continental projects, while at the same time, every musician has deep roots in either Norwegian or Arabic traditional music. The interplay between the musicians creates a special vibe in which the inspiration to produce brand new music appears. The ensemble lets the sound of folk music instruments transform into urban soundscapes. It is amazing to discover not only the differences between Norwegian and Palestinian musical expressions, but also the great similarities!
