Magne Draagen studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where he graduated with a diploma in solo organ. He has worked as assistant cantor at Oslo Cathedral, artistic director of Oslo Cathedral's Boys' Choir and cantor at Stavanger Cathedral. Since 2012 he has been cantor at Nidaros Cathedral and is appointed to a new position in St. Michaelis Church in Hamburg from 2021. His discography includes organ music played on the Steinmeyer organ in the Nidaros Cathedral and organ music composed by Camille Saint-Saëns, and he contributes at several other recordings.
