Ståle Storløkken is a Norwegian jazz musician (piano, synthesizer) and composer. He has been a regular in the bands Veslefrekk and Supersilent's from 1989; he has also played with Audun Kleive's "BIT" and "Generator X", Terje Rypdal's "Skywards" ensemble, with the percussionist Thomas Strønen (Humcrush, 2004) and Terje Isungset (Floating Rhythms). Together with Nikolai Eilertsen and Torstein Lofthus, he forms the jazz/rock trio elephant9. In 2012, he released The Death Defying Unicorn with Motorpsycho, nominated for the Spellemann (Norwegian Grammys) 2012. In March 2019, he released his first solo album,  The Haze of Sleeplessness, and was nominated for the Spellemann 2019. He received the Buddy Award 2019 (Norwegian Jazz Prize).
