The Vertavo String Quartet played at the very first Chamber Music Festival in Trondheim in 1996. At that time, they had already been playing together for twelve years! Twenty five years later they are recognized as a renowned international string quartet with concert engagements all over the world. The Vertavo String Quartet´s dynamic and engaging interpretations continue to appeal to audiences and critics alike. They have won the First, Audience and Critic´s Prizes at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, the Diapson d´Or for their recording of Grieg and Debussy, and the prestigious Grieg Prize, which is awarded to artists of the highest international standard.
